The pace of growth of our Horizons group has been tremendous and we now have two groups that are full to capacity.
We know that a picture spells a thousand words so here are some to enjoy. We continue to have fun, be challenged and learn.
Among more games than we could remember playing, we made some delicious jam from wild brambles we picked, purple fingers abounded. We also threaded rowan berries – such a vibrant orange/red.
There was lots of harvesting going on, not surprisingly.
A few weeks later we carved in the traditional Scottish way with turnips, lantern carving originated in Britain and Ireland and dates back a long time and was brought around the world, In America it became customary to use pumpkins instead as they are easier to carve.
