Come and help us run the Earthship Fife Visitor Centre!

The Earthship Fife Visitor Centre is the only one of it’s kind in Scotland, a unique educational resource for the community, professionals, schools, colleges and families, and attracts visitors from Scotland, Europe and all over the world.  We also deliver our community workshops and events in it.

We are looking for volunteers to open the Earthship on a regular basis.  If you can spare a few regular hours a week we would love to hear from you. You could greet drop-in visitors, serve teas and coffees, do some light maintenance or help with some admin – there is always plenty variety at SCI!

What you might enjoy

  • An opportunity to be part of a team running a small visitor centre
  • Giving guided tours to visitors – full training will be given at a pace you are comfortable with
  • Learning how the Earthship works
  • Meeting a wide range of people from the UK and abroad
  • Learning about sustainable building methods and renewable energy

Maintenance days at the Earthship

The Earthship was built and is mostly maintained by volunteers. If you would like to come along and get your hands dirty (and have fun), get in touch and we will let you know when the next maintenance day is.

Richard, our maintenance coordinator will be starting his role in April. Watch this space for more info on when the volunteering opportunities will take place.

Other opportunities with SCI

Would you like to gain experience of administration or marketing and help us variety of tasks in the office? This is a chance to see how a small charity is run and be part of a small and friendly team.

No experience needed – just lots of enthusiasm!

If you would like to have a chat about joining our team of volunteers, please contact us on tel. 01592 891884, or better, email us.
